The classified highest trekking peak in Nepal, Mera Peak (6,475 m) falls on the Mahalangur section, the Barun sub-section of the Himalayas, in the Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) region, Nepal. Mera Peak is not that technically advanced, but climbers have to be physically strong to handle any hurdles that may arise while climbing.

This peak is also known as the practice peak before climbing Mount Everest. From the top of Mera Peak, you get the finest view of the other four eight-thousanders- Mt. Everest (8,849 m), Mt. Makalu (8,643m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,081 m), and Mt. Lhotse (8,586 m).

To enjoy this venture fully, one should put more effort into their fitness. As a part of the preparation, you should avoid fatty, oily, and fried foods and exercise regularly. The highly liquid foods will keep the body hydrated, and you might not have to return in the middle of climbing because of altitude sickness.

Mera Peak climbing with the Amphu Lapcha pass trek is one of the most adventurous ventures in the Everest region. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber, Mera Peak is an ideal spot to begin your mountaineering journey in the Himalayas. It is the best trekking peak for someone who has been trekking and wants to level up in the Himalayas.

During the climbing, one can get a grip on tools such as crampons, ice-axe, and other mountaineering gear. Likewise, the trekking part of this trip ascends and descends via lush forests and pictures of Sherpa villages, letting you experience an authentic mountain lifestyle. The journey is full of breathtaking landscapes and fantastic mountain views.
